Chamber of Commerce shortlists Koronadal City in search for Most Business-Friendly LGU
Koronadal receives special recognition as one of the finalists in the prestigious 2019 Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit Award in the City Level-3 category.
This distinction was made with the final judging for the said award last October 2 in line with the 45th Philippine Business Conference & Expo (PBC & E) of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the PCCI Boardroom, 3/F Conference and Industry Plaza, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Signed by Chamber president Ma. Alegria Sibal- Limjoco, PB & E chair Dr. William Co and awards chairpersons Jose Alejandro and Samie Lim, the special recognition cites the city’s significant efforts for local economic progress by “exemplifying commendable initiatives towards good governance reforms that promote trade and investments”.
Koronadal Investment and Promotions Center Officer Elric Batilaran and Business Permit and Licensing Section Chief Gilbert Gayosa presented to the award body a 5-minute presentation about development programs and prospects of Koronadal City.
The presentation was followed by a 10-minute question and answer by the panelists about the initiatives of Koronadal LGU on these four award indicators: (1) Fast Tracking Sustainable Local Economic Development (LED), (2) Improvement of Ease of Doing Business (EODB), (3) Investment Promotion Initiatives, and (4) Initiatives to Enhance Industry/Sectoral Competitiveness.
