IP leaders and representatives from each barangay are in full attendance to support the said assembly to air out updates, and urgent concerns in their community.
In a speech by City Indigenous Peoples’ Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Hon. Antonio S. Abing, he stated the accomplishments in his previous term as well as the current plans and aspirations of his office, particularly in the assertion of including and emphasizing the role of IPs in the history of Koronadal.
“Ang importante subong, tanan kita nga mga tribo, mag-unite kita mag isa kita i-set aside anay ang pulitika. Trabaho kita anay. Para sa kaayuhan sang tribo,” IPMR Abing added.
Being the extending arm of the government, around 12 National Government Agencies in the region attended the event to present their services readily available for the Indigenous people, especially in remote areas that are hard to reach by the government.
The said assembly is led by the office of the City IPMR in connection to the annual celebration of Indigenous People’s Month.
