BSP signs MoU with LGU Koronadal
Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Local Government Unit (LGU) for the establishment of its Knowledge Resource Network (KRN) on November 4, 2019 at City Hall.
BSP Knowledge Resource Network (KRN), is a facility for knowledge and information sharing that enhances public’s comprehension on economic and financial issues affecting the country’s development through libraries.
In an interview, Perry B. Dequita, Branch Head of BSP General Santos City, Koronadal was one among the chosen LGUs as beneficiary of the publication materials for public use and research reference.
As a partner, the LGU City Library serves as the designated center of the BSP Knowledge Resource Collection (KRC) with updated reading and information materials such as books, brochures, reports, manuals, guides, and other publications now readily available for use.
City Librarian Erwin Lagustan, on the other hand, calls for Koronadaleños to patronize the City Library and invited readers from nearby towns to avail of the free reading materials which are also beneficial for students.
“Sa mga taga Koronadal at mga katabing lugar, kung may problema kayo sa mga reference materials, ang Koronadal City Library ay may mga libro na galing sa BSP na pwedeng hiramin, gamitin at basahin,” Lagustan said.
Through the establishment of its KRN, BSP envisions to broaden the knowledge of the general public in making economic and financial decisions through easy access to information. Also, they aspire to promote greater public understanding of BSP operations, policies and activities through partner libraries.
