City gov to set up Business-One-Stop shop
The city government of Koronadal is going to set up a Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) in response to the mandate of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and in compliance to the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) law this January 2020.
In 3 easy steps, the said one-stop shop will serve as the business permitting and licensing system that will receive and handle applications for license, clearance, permit and authorization.
Now of its 6th year of implementation, the system hopes to facilitate the smooth flow of documents through a more convenient and faster service delivery.
Among the offices that will form part in the one-stop shop are the City Mayor’s Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Engineering Office, City Health Office, City Information Office, City Market Supervisor’s Office, Social Security System, Department of Trade and Industry, PhilHealth, PAGIBIG, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Bureau of Fire Protection.
On the other hand, representatives from the 27 barangays of the city will also have their own tables for the issuance of community tax certificates and barangay clearances. Hence, for renewing businesses, forms were already given in advance upon the receipt of the business permit this year to avoid delay.
Also, the City Business Permit and Licensing Division is consistent in reminding the business owners to register on time to avoid surcharges and other fees by following the three steps; the file, pay and claim.
The business one-stop shop is set to open on the first working day of January 2020 at City Hall Lobby.
