5,000 jobs up for grabs in Hinugyaw Job Fair
With more than 5,000 job vacancies up for grabs, the city government of Koronadal is inviting all job seekers to participate in the 2020 Mega Job Fair on January 9, 2020 at KCC Mall of Marbel.
In line with the celebration of the 80th Foundation Anniversary and Hinugyaw Festival 2020, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) spearheaded the conduct of the said event.
“In this Mega Job fair, we invited 25 placement agencies and 35 local employers. In overseas alone, they need about 5,000 overseas workers. We are expecting 18 employers from Manila in coordination with the POEA to join us. More or less, 60 employers will be participating on January 9”, PESO Manager Bernard Taperla said in an interview.
The activity will be conducted from 7:30AM to 5:00PM in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment XII, Office of the ABC President and 2nd District of South Cotabato Congressional Office.
On the other hand, PESO Manager Taperla reminded the applicants to come in proper dress code, and prepare several copies of their resumes and pertinent documents to maximize their career fair experience. Upon arrival to the venue, Taperla emphasized that an applicant has to familiarized the different job vacancies. “As an applicant, you must prepare 20 to 30 resumes to improve your chances of getting a job”, Taperla posed a reminder to the jobseekers.
The mega job fair is open to residents and non-residents of Koronadal. The activity hopes to gather its partners and provide employment opportunities to the people.
