KNCHS bags Champion on Drumline Competition 2020
The so-called Batang KN (Koronadal National Comprehensive High School- Main Campus) with full of joy once again proved their competitiveness and elegance among other contingents after bagging the championship in the Drumline Competition: Battle of the Champions-Secondary Category final performance.
The KNCHS pocketed a Php100,000 cash prize. The school has been recognized as grand slam in such a field of competition a year back ago. Meanwhile, other winners included were Lake Sebu High School which received Php80,000 as first runner-up; Sta. Cruz Mission Schools Incorporated-Dekolon National High School was second runner-up and received Php75,000 while Marbel 7 National High School received Php25,000 as a consolation winner.
The criteria for judging were based on the following:
Drum and Lyre – 60%
Cheerdance – 30%
General Effect – 10%
Drum and Lyre criteria, however, were divided into three (3) elements which consist of Mastery on Marching, Choreography, and Creativity (20%), Synchronization (10%) and Music (30%).
For Cheerdance, it was judged in two (2) categories – the Choreography (20%) and Entertainment value (10%) while the General Effect composed of the use of visual effects like the costume, intensity, overall enhancement and overall impact (10%) with a total of 100%.
The drumline competition was performed on January 6, as part of Koronadal City’s 80th Founding Anniversary and 20th Hinugyaw Festival’s formal opening held at South Cotabato Sports Complex (SCSC).
