City Govt releases 17 million sum to combat COVID-19, ASF
In response to the threat of global pandemic reaching the city, quick allocation of the Local Finance Committee, Bids and Awards Commitee, and approved resolution by the Sangguniang Panlungsod led to the prompt appropriation of emergency procurement and 1st Supplemental Investment Plan for the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management fund.
The said fund is intended for the purchasing of supplies, food and equipment in the city’s current efforts to fight COVID-19 including the African Swine Fever (ASF).
The Sangguniang Panlungsod filed and approved a resolution on March 17, 2020 authorizing the use of up to 12 Million pesos for the city’s initiatives and efforts against COVID-19 ASF.
