Koronadal City readies SAP cash disbursement
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) is expected to dispense cash payout starting on April 23-25 of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to the intended beneficiaries from the 27 barangays of Koronadal City.
According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XII, as of April 20, the encoding and verification of the list of SAP beneficiaries are still ongoing to assure that only qualified heads of the families will receive the cash aid.
The DSWD has earmarked P162,310,000 budget for the 32,462 eligible recipients from the City of Koronadal, respectively.
As per the process flow, City Treasurer Marloun Gumbao said that they would simultaneously release payouts in three (3) days with nine (9) barangays per day.
Upon receipt of the P5,000 financial assistance, beneficiaries will be asked to show proof of status, such as valid IDs or barangay certification.
Also, each recipient will be taken a photo by the documentation team from the Local Government Unit (LGU) upon receipt of the cash as a proof that the said amount was endorsed to the right person.
Furthermore, DSWD will only be given 15 days to validate the receipt of documents from the LGUs that support the completion of the distribution of the emergency subsidies.
LGU Koronadal will also give away rice packs for low-income families who are not recipient of the said emergency subsidy, which will be coursed through their punong barangays.
The consultation meeting on cash roll out was conducted by the City Government of Koronadal together with the DSWD and 27 barangay captains last April 20 at the City Hall Lobby.
