Vego: Strict health measures will be implemented in commercial establishment after pass is lifted
Out of dreadful and worries over the lifting of movement pass in the City of Koronadal and the opening of all borders in the Province of South Coatabato, the City Health Office (CHO) appealed to all commercial establishments to become tougher in implementing non-pharmaceutical measures.
Following the call, Acting City Health Officer Dr. Edito Vego pushed all concerned businesses, companies, and corporations to execute the strict enforcement of the guidelines in temperature checking, physical distancing, wearing a face mask, and frequent hand washing or the use of hand sanitizer.
Dr. Vego said, if violators are contravening the measures, it is important to call their attention immediately to prevent it from being a precedent to others.
Though there is no local transmission, Dr. Vego continually urged the public to avoid being complacent. He said people must always consider the preventive measures to remain safe against the threat of covid-19 especially that until now there is still no vaccine available.
Further, the health officer urged the public to stay away from crowded places and refrain from going out for unnecessary transactions and travels.
Dr. Vego also constantly reminded everyone to consider non-pharmaceutical measures as one of the most important form of defense and protection against covid-19.
On the other hand, he also reminded patients wishing to undergo CHO examinations that they can also use the services of private doctors through the Socomed telemedicine program launched during the pandemic.
