CCR releases data on registration requests for 2020
The number of applicants for Certificate of Marriage has significantly increased from the month of November to December this year.
The identified increase was due to the postponement of applications last Enhanced Community Quarantine, according to City Civil Registrar Perla C. Quidilla.
While on the contrary, Birth Certificates have dipped in applications caused by the pandemic. The Office of the City Civil Registrar (CCR) usually expects a rise in applications around this time of year as people residing outside of Koronadal seek medical care in the city’s numerous accredited hospitals. Thus, the low number of applications from non-residents is an advantage to our residents to be prioritized in the available birth facilities.
Requests for authenticated copies of certificates from PSA has also increased. As one of the feature services of the office, it is said to be the only office in the whole province that caters release of these documents every Monday of the week.
Although their operations have not stopped since the pandemic, a notable number of registrants were reduced compared last year due to the limitations of community quarantine.
