LGU sets up anew one-stop-shop for business licensing
The City Government of Koronadal on Monday has launched a Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) in a bid to improve and speed up the processing of the business application and other transactions.
In an interview, Licensing Officer Gilbert Gayosa said that unlike in the previous years, the LGU would assume the task of issuing barangay business clearances and collecting their fees, provided that part of the collection will be remitted to the respective barangays.
Gayosa also outlined the additional stipulated requirement: the submission of an Affidavit of Undertaking for those businesses that have not yet installed their CCTVs and an Affidavit for those who have complied with the requirements indicating the unit specifications.
With this innovation, an applicant for a new business or clients who plan to renew their business permit, go through a single location to process their documents in three easy steps: File, Pay and Claim.
Seven offices under the local government will collocate at the City Hall Lobby to accommodate clients. These include the Business Permit & Licensing Service (BPLS), City Treasurer’s Office, Zoning Division from the City Planning Office, City BFP, Office of the Building Official (OBO), City Health Office and the Department of Trade & Industry for faster business name registration.
“Aton man paningkamutan nga after sini, ang colocation mag padayon para ang ginahimo sa BOSS kay mangin regular na nga himuon sa business registration,” Gayosa said.
The City Government of Koronadal has adopted this annually in compliance to Republic Act (RA 11032) or the Ease of Doing Business Law.
The said activity will run from January 4th to January 20th, including Saturdays.
