CCR lands 4th Most Outstanding LCRO in South Cotabato
The Koronadal City Registry Office bagged 4th place in the recently concluded Search for the Outstanding Civil Registry Office in the whole province of South Cotabato. The said office was also recognized as ‘Most Improved’ Civil Registry Office by Phillippine Statistics Authority-South Cotabato.
The Search for Outstanding Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) Award is an incentive system ‘aimed at ensuring the timely delivery of quality outputs related to Civil Registration’ and to ‘give due recognition to the outstanding performances of LCROs for the fiscal year’.
From 44th place, they rose to 10th place as top-performing LCRO out of 45 contenders in SOCCSKSARGEN — proof of an enhanced public service provided to their clients.
The award was evaluated by PSA through the following criteria:
- Quality and Timeliness of Document Submission
- PO Evaluation of the LCROs
- Compliance with CRS Requirements
- Compliance with PO Requirements
- PhilCris Data File Submission
- BREQS Outlet
- Other Civil Registration Related Activities
Although the award came as a surprise, City Civil Registrar Perla C. Quidilla is more than happy to receive this award on behalf of their office. According to the City Registrar, there has been a lot of improvement since she moved to the office, with changes in their archiving system, submitting requirements to PSA before the set deadline, and fast action in their requests or court orders that reach their office.
The said award gave motivation to the CCR staff to aim high for next year’s evaluation. Ms. Quidilla is thankful for God’s provision, the support of the Ogena administration, and the hardworking and dedicated staff of CCR that made the recognition happen.
“Una, ginapasalamatan gid naton ang Almighty Father, sa guidance niya, ikaduha ang support man sang local chief executive, kay ginaprovidan man kami sang mga kinahanglan namon… kag ginapasalamatan ko gid ang staff sang civil registry kay kung wala sa ila wala gid na achieve ang tanan, ang dako gid nga [obra] ara sa staff ko.”
The plaque and certificate of recognition were awarded last February 26, 2021, in the closing ceremony of 31st Civil Registration Month with the theme: ‘Strengthening Registration Services and Vital Statistics’ Digital Information: The Ways to Manage the New Normal’.
