PESO Koronadal proposes to join CNCC
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Koronadal proposes to serve as member of the City Nutrition Council Committee (CNCC).
During the recent Nutri-quiz, one of the City Nutrition Office’s annual programs in line with the celebration of nutrition month, PESO Manager Bernard Taperla expressed his willingness to be a member of the said council because he believes his office can contribute something to addressing the issue of children’s nutrition gap.
He also suggested to the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), who are also participants in the said activity, that while their focus is on the proper nutrition of preschoolers and schoolchildren, they can also refer less fortunate families to his office so that they can provide them with a living income. “Wala naga-untat ang akon opisina sa paghimo sang programa para mabuligan ang mga pigado,” Taperla assured as their office committed and ready to help to those needy one.
(My office never stops creating programs to help those in need.)
The PESO Manager believes that if the family has enough earnings there will be no malnutrition in the community. Thus, the said statement received enthusiastic applause which was immediately approved and considered by City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO) Nancy Adalin.
Meanwhile, here is the record of the CNO on the Operation Timbang Plus (OPP) conducted on infants and children aged 0-23 and 0-53 months old for the current year.
