City’s Free Civil Service Exam Review Program Returns
The city government of Koronadal is once again offering its free Civil Service Examination review program for this year, which officially kicked off on July 27, 2024, at the Koronadal National Comprehensive High School AVR. This was organized by the City Sports and Youth Development Division, the City of Koronadal Youth Development Council, and the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
The program, launched in 2022, provides aspiring civil servants with comprehensive reviews, knowledgeable instructors, and mock examinations, all free of charge. It aims to offer individuals who do not have access to quality review preparation and financial capacity to enrol in private review centers.
This year, review sessions, held on weekends from July 27th until August 10th, were conducted in a hybrid format, where 100 participants attended the in-person review while others joined online through the city government’s official Facebook page.
In his message, City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena urged the participants to regularly attend the review classes and focus on their goal of passing the exam, as it is his desire that everyone pass, which would later give them the opportunity to pursue a career in public service and be one of the skilled workers of the city government.
Among this year’s competent lecturers who will tackle their line of expertise are Dave C. Prodigo (analytical ability), Ian Kith S. Parcon (verbal ability), Jay-Ar Lipura (numerical ability), General Information (Kenjave Mark Parlero), and Shienna Lyn Lipura-Antenor (clerical ability and grammar post-test).
The program’s success and impact were seen after quite a number of examinees, particularly from the city government, who attended the city’s review classes passed the Professional and Sub-Professional CS Examination.
In the June 2022 Civil Service Eligibility Examination, 11 have passed the professional examination and two (2) in the sub-professional examination, while 12 have succeeded the professional exam and three (3) takers were among those who passed the sub-professional level exam in August 2022.
