City of Koronadal among PSA’s Most Outstanding LCRO

October 28, 2024

For the fourth consecutive year, the City Local Civil Registry of Koronadal City has once again taken its slot in the top ten for the 2023 Most Outstanding Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO). The city landed on the 7th spot under the Super Extra Large (SEL) category.  The award, given by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), was conferred in line with the celebration of National Statistics Month, which was held recently in Quezon City.

The Most Outstanding LCRO under the SEL Category has submitted over 10,000 civil registry documents to the PSA’s national office and likewise displayed a remarkable performance in the previous year. With such accomplishment, the City Civil Registrar was recognized to have delivered an efficient and accurate civil registration process.

Due to her office’s involvement in the “Kasalan sa Palengke, the city’s Local Civil Registrar Perla Quidilla was not able to personally receive the award during the October 9 ceremony in Quezon City. However, she was later presented with the Plaque of Recognition by PSA’s National Statistician/Civil Registrar General and Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa during a “Talakayan” program in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, on October 18.

Having received the award, Quidilla expressed her gratitude to City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena and partner offices, including the City Population Office, City Information Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Office, Community Affairs Office, Punong Barangay, as well as her office staff for their unwavering support.

In an interview in the “Buwas-Damlag sa Bagong Koronadal,” Quidilla has high hopes for the city winning the same award next year, a distinction that would solidify the city’s place within the esteemed Circle of Excellence.

The Cirle of Excellence Award is a prestigious award for outstanding LCROs that consistently exhibit exceptional performance in implementing the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) programs and have consistently ranked among the Top 10 awardees in any category for five consecutive years.

It can be recalled that the city has already made it to the top ten in 2020 to 2023 by securing the Top 10, Top 7, Top 5, and Top 7 spots, respectively.

This recognition does not only highlight the city’s efficient civil registration system but also serves as a testament to how dedicated and hardworking the city’s local civil registry is.
