Koronadal’s legislative body passes 107 measures in 4 months

A total of 107 measures were read and passed in the sessions of Sangguniang Panglungsod from July to October this year.

In her report, SP Secretary Marites D. Togonon disclosed that 99 of these measures are resolutions passed by the legislative body, seven for general ordinances, and one for budget appropriation ordinance since the assumption of Koronadal City Vice Mayor Peter B. Miguel.

A few of the passed ordinances were additional benefits for senior citizens, mitigation of dengue vector in the city, free use of public comfort rooms for senior citizens and PWDs, including the approval of the supplemental budget No. 2.

Vice Mayor Miguel in his message conveyed  that he wants the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to reach more people in making them aware of the local laws using the different  channels of communication and by extending to the community their programs and services.

“That’s why ang target pa gid, we want our laws of the land to be known to our citizenry”, Vice Mayor Miguel said.

The Vice Mayor also hopes for a mutual connection between the legislative and the executive branch for an effective delivery of current priority projects. “And one thing’s for sure, our sanggunian members are all one in saying that we support the programs of the Mayor… for the harmonization of our agenda”, Vice Mayor Miguel said in his message during the monday convocation sponsored by their branch.
