The City of Koronadal has new City Civil Registrar
“Love the things you do not like because it often leads to victory.” The strong words of the newly appointed City Civil Registrar (CCR) Perla Carteciano Quidilla after she revealed that the degree she had graduated from college had taken her to the road of success. Quidilla was a graduate of Bachelor of Science (BS) Commerce major in accounting in the year 1983, though her desire was to take a paramedical course. However, due to financial hardship and as a working student, she opted to pursue the former.
The appointment of City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena to Quidilla as new CCR was unanimously concurred by Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) during their last session conducted for November.
Quidilla is currently 36 years in service as a government employee of Local Government Unit (LGU) Koronadal. She was started her career at the age of 21 as Laborer for three (3) years under the engineering office but detailed in the planning office. Fortunately, from being a laborer, she got promoted as Senior Clerk with Salary Grade (SG) 6 in the planning office and eventually promoted again as Economic Researcher at the same office.
Being an Economic Researcher, that was the time also when the civil registration section was transferred to the planning office from the treasurer’s office. Since there were no personnel to handle the said section, the planning was tasked to perform civil registration functions for 10 years. That piece of work lead Quidilla to be designated as Acting Civil Registration Officer III from 2001-2002 but prior to that, she was also designated as Acting Municipal Planning Development Coordinator (MPDC) from September 1, 1999-July 28, 2000.
Aside from her primary course, Quidilla also took up BS Economics at the Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) in the year 1992 and in the same university, she had earned 18 units in her Master’s degree in Business Administration. She also completed her elementary grades at Norala Elementary School while finished her secondary at Koronadal National Comprehensive High School (KNCHS).
Quidilla on the other hand fondly recalled her love story. She said, executing CCR tasks was considered as an apparent misfortune that eventually has good results because she found her Mr. Right in a person of Mr. Elizer Jopson Quidilla and blessed with one (1) child that presently in senior high school. She has assured the people of Koronadal that their office would be efficient and effective enough to deliver its mandated services.
