Barangay and Urban Defense to prevent criminalities -OIC, COP Lt.Col. Guisinga

Guisinga is serving the police force for 22 years. Before entering the field of law enforcement, he had been a registered nurse assigned in General Santos City way back in 1996- 1997. Prior to his assignment in Koronadal , PLtCol Guisinga been a Deputy Provincial Director for Administration at Sarangani Police Provincial Office and also been a Deputy Provincial Director for Operation at Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office. In 2010 and 2016 he was in charge of the Presidential- National- Local Elections and in the year 2016-2017, he was assigned as the Chief of Police at the Municipality of Polomolok, South Cotabato.

He was also been assigned at the South Cotabato Police Provincial Office as Deputy Provincial Director for Operation and Deputy Provincial Director for Administration and as a Provincial Intelligence an Investigation Officer.. Despite of that positions and designations, PLtCol Guisinga was also been with the police tour of duty as one of the members of the PNP Special Action Force for 2 years until his assignment here in Koronadal City PNP. Guisinga was raised by a father who is a DOLE Philippines Inc. employee and a mother who is a retired principal. He is the 2nd amongst the four (4) children. His siblings were an engineer, a doctor and a culinary graduate. A father blessed with 3 kids to a wife who is a nurse. The family is presently residing at Polomolok, South Cotbato. He graduated his primary school at Mt. Matutum Christian School and been at Polomolok National High School. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing on the year 1996 and finished Master’s degree in Business Administration at the Adventist University of the Philippines. And in 2019 he graduated his Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration.

Joined the Philippine National Police Academy Class 2003. PLtCol Guisinga is presently crafting the Barangay Defense and Urban Defense as well as the clustering of the barangays. This will help a lot in the crime prevention even in the height of covid19. In his statement, Guisinga said, “Police force visibility will be seen at the barangay level in close coordination with other law enforcement agencies, with the AFP counterpart, aligning to the advocacy of the Honorable City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena to the Bagong Koronadal with the help of the stakeholders and the LGU and concerned agencies. Part of his goal is to make the Koronadal City a safer place to work and do business and to make everyone safer to enjoy life despite of this pandemic. “ “The only thing to say is that public safety is a shared responsibilities. Pagnagtulong -tulong tayo maintindihan natin kung anong mga campaigns natin. Kung anong mga gagawin natin. There would be a harmonious relationship and a safer community for us to live,” he added.

Furthermore, he ensures that under his leadership the community will have a quality public service with good governance and transparency. And to his colleagues he speak of public safety particularly to different partners in combating covid , he is challenging everyone to work hand in hand because accordingly, public safety is a shared responsibility. “With the help of Almighty Father we can attain what we aim for. Let us put up the spirit of teamwork here in the city purposely for our public safety”. PLtCol Guisinga’s said in his pronouncement.
