CCR’s first expanded free registration services record over 100K monetary value

City Civil Registrar (CCR) Office recorded an amount of Php116, 780.00 monetary value in the first expanded free registration services conducted recently in line with the celebration of 32nd Civil Registration Month.

CCR Pearla Quidilla said,although there was also a similar activity that the office had done, but only focused on the documents of the civil registrar, and it was the first time that a longer data record was delivered.

The assistance that their office delivers includes registration for the Batch Request Entry Query System (BREQS) application for a copy of the Philippine Statistic Authority (PSA) which has the largest amount contributed amounting to Php 96, 180.00.

Support provided by CCR includes registration for the Batch Request Entry Query System (BREQ) for the application for a copy of a Security Paper (SecPa); Request a copy from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) which has made the highest contribution at Php 96,180.00.This was followed by a marriage license application which brought in Php17,700.00, while the free copy of the certificate issued the equivalent of Php2,900.00 in service charges.

Quidilla said the activity had been carried out because many people still have no corresponding documents so far, especially individuals living in remote areas.

Meanwhile, she also admitted she felt pressured after her office received an award shortly after her tenure, something she hadn’t expected. However, she considered it a good challenge to further improve their services.

PSA-South Cotabato Registration Officer II, Lilibeth Galla on the other hand, commented that the purpose of giving such recognition is to inspire workers to improve their work performance.

In addition, Galla listed the evaluation criteria of the Local Civil Registration Office (LCRO) which paved the way for the praise of the performance of the CCR. Its scope is as follows:

  • Timeliness and Quality of the documents submitted
  • PO Evaluation of the LCROs
  • Compliance with CRS Requirements
  • Compliance with PO Requirements
  • PhilCris Data File Submission
  • BREQS Outlet
  • Other Civil Registration Related Activities

Meanwhile, Ellison Parojinog, the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) focal person for PSA South Cotabato explained why some others have not yet received their PhilSys ID. He said the printing is done by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BPS) where they are very particular with the quality output that it could be one (1) of the possible reasons for the delay.

He also highlighted the importance of PhilSys ID which aims to establish a unique identification system for citizens and foreigners residing in the country following the encouragement of all Filipinos to enroll in the aforementioned government program.
