PRC XII will contrive million worth of multi-purpose building
More progress and building is anticipated in the prime regional center in Barangay Carpenter Hill, this city as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Region XII will contrive million worth of multi-purpose building.
Worth 95 million pesos for a 2-storey multi-purpose building and testing center at the same time is projected to rise in the span of 320 calendar days after a recent groundbreaking and site dedication ceremony was conducted.
PRC XII Regional Director Rotelo B. Cabugsa said that the plan was started with just a dream that turns into reality through the initiative of former PRC XII and currently a PRC XI RD Raquel R. Abrantes in collaboration with the City Government of Koronadal. He stated that this is the most foreseeing event not only for the PRC but for the stakeholders as well as their agency caters five (5) cities and 45 municipalities.
“It is a herald of hope and an avenue of success for aspiring professionals as PRC’s vision focuses on bringing the services closer to the people,” RD Cabugsa said as he ecstatically conveyed his gratitude to the LGU Koronadal and looks forward to the building’s completion.
PRC Commissioner II Atty. Erwin M. Enad, an oversight for physical infrastructure also affirmed that the expansion of their services was a response to the mounting numbers of professionals and would-be professionals in the region considering that in 2022, the city was thronged with a total of 32,737 examinees administered by their bureau.
Commissioner Enad discussed further that in teaming up with LGUs, their intention is more than the rendition of PRC services; hence, they also recognized the multiplier effect of their alliance. They believe that putting up their edifice will usher in more grassroots development which means they wanted to be a part of the local government’s growth. He also stressed that if there is PRC, a lot of people come in and formal and informal businesses will be benefited. “If you have PRC here, ang daming mga clients dito,” Enad confirmed.
The commissioner also acknowledged that as City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena confirming the request for their building’s erection showed a symbol of interrelation and synergy as the national government and LGU is a partner in social progress and advancement.
Meanwhile, Enad is also lobbying South Cotabato 2nd District Cong. Peter B. Miguel for an additional budget to complete the original 7-storey building plan.
City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena, on the other hand, complimented the importance of the PRC. “This is one agency which has a big impact because many people come here,” the mayor said as he appreciated and understood the implication to the local economy that PRC has imparted.
PRC is the highest institution offering board examinations, thus, the latest blueprint of the said agency will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) XII, headed by District Engr. Aly Khan U. Ali.
