Marvin Gumbao, wins election as ABC President
The Association of Barangay Chairpersons (ABC) has a new president after the term of the previous ABC President Gregorio Presga expired.
The newly elected Barangay Captain (ABC) President and Ex-Officio member of the City of Koronadal’s Sangguniang Panlungsod is from Brgy. Marvin Ian C. Gumbao, San Roque, after the election held on December 15, 2023 at ABC Hall.
Marvin Ian Cano Gumbao, a former “senior accountant” of a top auditing firm in the country, was elected as Barangay Captain for the first time and is now ABC President.
ABC President Gumbao is the only candidate for the said position. The officer is very grateful to all those who support him, especially the residents of his barangay “Madamo gid nga salamat sa way puhay nga suporta, sa akon pamilya salamat gid kay ara kamo. Sa akon constituents nga nagbulig madamo gid nga salamat. To mayor Bebot Ogena I promise that I am on full support about the Barangay, Purok and Sitio Empowerment Program,” the councilor said.
Gumbao set his priorities for his term – his 5 point agenda to deepen the connection of the 27 barangay captains to serve their constituents well and to have a connection with the different agencies in the city.
Meanwhile, Councilor Gumbao assures his co-officials that they are one and will be united as one strong ABC,so that they can give the service that the people deserve.
On the other hand, during the oath taking ceremony following the election, City Mayor Atty. Eliordo U. Ogena extended his congratulations to the other newly elected ABC Officials.
He took his oath along with his newly elected officials.
