PSA @ 10 Honors City Government of Koronadal
As part of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) 10th year anniversary celebration, the Philippine Statistics Authority XII recognizes its outstanding partners and stakeholders who have supported its programs and activities and made significant contributions in ensuring the success of PSA for the last ten years.
The activity aimed to show appreciation and gratitude to the unwavering support given by the awardees to PSA which played an integral role in making their programs successful.
In his keynote speech, Regional Director Maqtahar Manulon emphasized the significance of their collaboration with the different stakeholders, from regional line agencies, local government units, the private sector, and the media, which has given them the motivation to complete their tasks of gathering data and transforming it into useful knowledge that the public can use.
The City of Koronadal was recognized as “Outstanding PSA XII Partner” in the Local Government Unit category. It was awarded by PSA XII to LGU Koronadal as a token of gratitude for the LGU’s support to PSA’s efforts and initiatives in delivering relevant and reliable services to the general public.
Meanwhile, City Mayor Atty. Eliordo Ogena was awarded “Outstanding PSA XII Partner” for his unending support in the programs and activities of the said national agency.
Mayor Ogena expressed his appreciation for the recognition, saying “I am honored to receive this award and I am in full support in terms of the programs and projects that can help empower the communities,” the Mayor said.
According to this, only Mayor Ogena and the South Cotabato Provincial Government received this type of award out of the forty-nine LGUs.
The recognition of outstanding PSA stakeholders concludes the 10′′ PSA Anniversary celebration with the theme PSA@10: Providing Quality Services Through Digital Transformation.
Meanwhile, the City Civil Registrar’s Office, led by the City Civil Registrar Officer Perla Quidilla also received the Outstanding PSA XII Partner in Civil Registration in Regional Level. Mrs. Quidilla is humbled by the appreciative action of the PSA “I am happy and thankful for the awards that we have received. I did not expect it but I’m very thankful for the support of Mayor Ogena in comes of my office concerns and activities.” Quidilla said.
This historic event took place on November 7, 2023, at the Avior Hotel in General Santos City. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests from PSA XII’s various municipalities, cities, and allied agencies.
